I went over my pay grade again by removing the pin which holds the SKS-M trigger to the trigger bar. Now I cannot get the trigger bar back in so that it mates up with the sear and allows the hammer to be released. Can someone give me the secret to doing this? (I have also posted this question on an SKS forum but have not gotten an answer.)

Thanks,

This is one of those times where, rather than try to type out an answer, I would recommend you try to find a local SKS buff who knows how to do trigger group stuff (I'm learning a lot of them don't have any idea and never mess with the trigger group), or a gunsmith and have them actually show you step-by-step.

Seriously, I'm not trying to be a snob or anything, this is purely a safety comment as a mis-assembled trigger group means you have an UNSAFE rifle.

For EVERYTHING about milsurps, including the SKS....

Get ye over to www.surplusrifles.com Get ye over there post haste, too, as it is shutting down for good come 3/31/07.

Anyhow, they have a complete piece on assembly/disassembly of the SKS, among a great lot of other neat information. Complete pictures, descriptions, you can't go wrong.

They also have 2 CD's which have ALL the site's content on them; you might consider buying those. $14 including s&h.
