I live in California. When I was a kid I fell for the crap that my parents feed me about the Democats are for the working man, and the Republicans just want to raise taxes. When I got old enough to think on my own I saw through this stuff. I vote for the man I like, not the party.
But I am still registerd as a Democrat.

Today I got a message from Slick Willie on the answering machinge.
OK......I know that it was just a recording.

He states that "The recall provision is only in the constitution to remove some one who has committed a criminal act, or who is not physically or mentally incapable of going to work".:barf:

He also stated that recall was bad for our demacrocy.:what:
This whole time I was thinking that it was demacrocy in action!

So if the Governor has a stroke, you can't just have the LG step up? You have to get X00,000 signatures and hold an election to decide whether the Governor (who, remember, is too incapacitated to go to work!) will keep his office? If he wins, he gets to stay?
:scrutiny:

Honestly, who do they think is being fooled by this stuff?

The comment about Slick Willie lying again reminds me of the story about the sailing vessel whose captain had a reputation for heavy drinking. Every day the quartermaster would make an entry in the ship's log, "The captain is drunk today." This went on for months until the captain happened to review the ship's log. He was furious.

The captain berated the quartermasters and all the deck officers, ordering that they stop making entries in the log about him being drunk.

Months went by. There were no entries about the captain being drunk. The captain was sure of this, because he periodically checked the log for the embarrassing entry. Then one day he checked the log and was stunned to see, "The captain is sober today."
