Took some semi-noob friends to the range the other day. The most experienced one was shooting my Beretta Cougar, doing fairly well, and then on the last round in the mag, the slide chucks itself off the frame and lands downrange
The guy's got long fingers, so I figure he must have inadvertently released the slide. Argh! That was a strange thing.
The pistol didn't look any worse for wear, so I put it back together, checked function, loaded a couple rounds, bang bang bang, everything seems normal. Put about 75 more rounds through it no probs. What a night.
