Slide width of Bersa Thunder .380

I've been looking for info on the slide width of the Bersa Thunder .380. Bersa's website reports that the "width" of the gun is 1 7/16 inches, which I believe can only describe the width of the grip area of the pistol. I consider the slide width to be more critical for IWB carry. Can anyone give me the correct specs for this? Thanks!

I think it is .9", IIRC.

I'm looking at my Bersa Thunder right now and you are correct about the widest part of the grips.

The slide width is 7/8"

The total length of the pistol from muzzle to tail is 6 3/4"

The total length of the pistol from rear sight to mag extension is right around 5 inches.

oh, I forgot to add about the slide from one side to the safety is right at 1".

I also have one and they are a nice gun. The only reason I do not use mine more for CC is because they are just a little small for my hand.

Thanks for the replies. I'm hoping to find a Bersa Thunder locally so I can handle one. The dimensions sound like this would make an excellent carry weapon. Sig, I'll have to see if the Bersa is too small for me. I have smallish hands, about a size medium when I buy gloves. One other thing--I've seen that the Bersa weighs 23 ounces, but at least one source says that's a loaded weight and the gun itself only weighs 20 ounces. Can anyone confirm what the actual weight of the pistol is?

I have both regular and +15 ersions of the Thunder 380. Excellent guns. There is a trimmed version called the CC that some people prefer. For exact size, weight, options, comparative close-up photos, etc. go to bersatalk.com.
It's a good sight. They also have excellent customer service.
For concealed carry you should look closel at the Kel-Tec 380 which is amazingly easy to carry.
My three companies for guns I greatly like are Bersa/Firestorm, Kel-Tec and XD from Springfield Armory.
