I visited the local range recently, and was able to rent a Glock 19 and Glock 26.
I have been a revolver guy through my adult life, believing; well, nevermind what I believed...but I wasn't a fan of auto's. It wasn't that I had no experience with semi-auto guns; I have shot 1911 guns, and been surprised by how accurately I could shoot them. I was also pained by the hammer bite; so in my thinking: so much for the 1911's, and by association, most semi-autos.
Anyway, I wanted to shoot a Glock and see what all the fuss was about. So, I was very surprised by the fact that I shot both guns very accurately, and frankly, found the model 26 my favorite, really comfortable to shoot. So, I am now struggling not to trade everything I own on a new model 26...well, my revolvers, anyway
Wonder how long I can hold out...
