Do to a few political changes recently, I've decided to brush up on my slingshot skills :D I opened up a 20 ga shell loaded with #3 buck for some ammo, I dusted off my trusty wristrocket and drew back on a box that I stuffed with a painters drop cloth. Snap ! the band broke :( The next day I picked up a fancy neon red taperd band with a leather pocket and did the install, and then the reinstall, I had to get the bands set just right. After the hairspray dried I started punching holes, with 50 rounds behind me I was turning in 2 1/2" groups at 21'. Then I tried some 00 buck and the groups shrank to 2" , during this diversion I wondered if I could soup up my slingshot ? the pull on mine seems weak, does anyone have a link for super slingshots ??

You can substitute surgical tubing or bike inner tube material for the launcher band and increase the "pull" on your slingshot.

I changed my bands with 1/4" surgical tubing. Lots more power. I had to change it again to longer bands so I could get it to my usual cheek spot. I've been very happy with the st bands. I use .490 lead round ball in mine, I cast for my muzzleloader so I have plenty of that around. Boy does it smack when it hits!
