loading 9mm 124gr berry`s fmj at 2gr under max will the magmumn primers be safe?
using unique,231,titegroup

There is no noticeable difference between mag and regular primers at Starting Load. A small, but important difference may become evident at higher loadings. Read the FAQ's on their web page, Berry has some velocity limits.

Berry doesn't make FMJ bullets.

Someone could always reference the testing @Walkalong did and save the OP the trouble of reading all our answers :)

Has to be .2gr under, there's not 2.0 grains between min and max for any of those powders that I could find.

I currently load .380 with CFE Pistol, 100gr plated Xtreme and CCI SP magnum primers. My p238 doesn't know any better.

I’ve been using small pistol magnums in 9mm for a while now, no misfires, no pressure signs in my P365 but I always stay a few tenths under max.

I bought 1,000 small pistol magnum primers today, because they were available. Figured I’d use them for .357.

But reading this, I may re-evaluate.

I used some SPM in my .40 S+W loads recently. Did some mixed loads, some at low end and some I didn't go over mid way. They worked, nothing funky happened. Until I can get some reg SPP's I'll use the SPM as I have about 2k of them. I'm about to run out of Rem 1 1/2's do I' may use the spm's unless the NFT order hits by then, lol...

I believe Rem 1 1/2's have a warning on the box about using them in 40S&W.
