Its 1500 and I'm in a library at a college writing this, had to go play Army again at a JROTC summer camp at what was once Fort McClellan Al, being once again blessed with the non heroic but essential duty of keeping 499 high school kids in their respective beds all night I have the entire day to roam around. First pawn shop stop was normal for this part of Alabama, couple of 30-30s, a Lama .45, SKSs, Rohm 22, ect. Second stop was more interesting (and expensive). There on the wall with the sporterized Yugo Mauser and a chopped up Eddystone was an 03A3. Close examination was good, R marked parts, 1944 barrel, ect. Best part was the C stock in excellent condition. My guess this was a 1960s purchase from the CMP, Anniston Army Depot is 15 miles away and they have been selling guns there since the 50's. It had been factory refurbished with correct Remington parts and the receiver looks new. Finally "How much?" $350 out the door. Thank God for VISA. I'll replace the butt plate and center barrel band when I get home.
Shouldn't have any problem getting my $ back from this one. Stock alone will cover half of it.

Most likely will, but I always try to keep a trader gun for something I really want. This is a shooter, not collector by any means. I could most likely get another stock, rebuild the gun and get $400-450 for it immediately, then sell the stock on its own. The gun's value is in the stock for a sniper build. But then it might end up on the wall with the others:

Just have to shift them around a little
