Smallest 9mm pistol?

What's the smallest 9mm pistol - not the lightest, but the smallest in dimension, width particularly?

The Rohrbaugh. The PF9 IS the thinnest, I THINK. If it ain't, I don't know how they could get any thinner. They're only 12 ounces, too. The Rohrbaugh is up around 19 ounces I think, but it's an all steel gun. Should be 24K gold for what it costs.

I need to get some 12 round mags for my P11. At 1" it ain't the thinnest, but the double stack mags help pay for the difference. It totes just fine in MY pockets. I bought it 14 years ago when only 10 rounders were available.

That's strange, my Rohrbaugh 9 doesn't weigh that much. I wonder when they redesigned them. The picture on their site used to say 12.8 on the scale.

Do the PF-9 or the R9 allow the use of +P or +P+ 9mm ammo?

I'd thought the Rohrbaugh was heavier, guess not. It is not +P rated. The PF9 is rated for "limited +P use". I carry +P in my P11.

I bought that P11 when there were few other choices, was the innovator as little 9s go. Between the PF9 and the P11, I'd go for the thinner gun since the firepower isn't that much different, a few rounds, but there's not enough difference in the guns IMHO to switch. I'm perfectly happy with what I've got.

Rohrbaugh? Well, if I hit oil on my property or the lotto works out for me, maybe. I do prefer +P stuff, though.

I'm not sure if ANY of these little 9s are +P+ rated. Maybe a Kahr K9, all steel pistol, not really a pocket gun.

Yes...The Kel-Tec manual states "limited use of +P ammunition".

Overall...Kel-Tec is declared the winner.

That is a WSP Downsizer. It is a single shot, but no one specified it must be a repeater. Leroy Thompson, writing for Gun World, once tested a .45 ACP version. He only fired three shots from it - one of which was a complete miss - before his hand hurt too much and he gave up, and he is a large and burly fellow.

Yes Brooks, I contacted them a few weeks back, as my FFL dealer was told they would be avaliable after the shot show. Well I called them and was told the Archangle has been put on the back burner as they are spending their time developing a new rifle, and the 9mm Archangle may wait untill the fourth quarter of this year, possably early 2011. I found that very disapointing as there still no other 9mm out there the size of the Rohrbaugh. LM

Rohrbaugh? I just checked over at gunbroker.com and I can't believe what they are asking for them. I am looking for a small 9mm, but I can't believe that these things are worth what is being asked for them. Does anybody have one? Are they worth the price?

I've got a Kel Tec pf9. I've never had any problems pocket carrying it. The thing is tiny. The very first thing said by every person I've shown it to is, "Daaaaang, that is small! Is it really 9mm?"

I've shot a few boxes of my +P carry ammo through it, and I can't see any damage from it. The manual does say that +P use should be kept to a minimum, though. On the plus side, if it breaks, Kel Tec's warranty is awesome. They'll send you a new one.

On the down side, the pistol is so light that shooting +P is uncomfortable. I can't see anyone shooting enough +P through it to wear it out before your hand is worn out.

In a nutshell... It is tiny, thin, and light. It shoots +P 9mm rounds. It has a capacity of 7+1. You can find a new one for around $300. And Kel Tec's warranty is great.

What more could you want?

How reliable is the PF9? Are we talking about 1 FTF per 100 or per 1000...etc.?
Is it a reliable enough for CCW?
