Co-worker has a 27-2 with a short bbl, maybe 3 1/2 or 4". Not familiar with the proportions of these N frames! I had to look at it in his trunk at work and didn't want to attract attention. Any how he's only asking 350.00 and I know these guns are very desirable. If I buy it, it probably be to trade towards something else. Since i got my python I now have seven 357 so I don't plan to keep it. It has some wear and rusted spots on it, it was dirty however and I'm sure most of it can clean off. So I would rate the finish at 75 percent. The checkering was sharp on the top strap and it had original grips. What would a traded value of a gun like this be worth to you guys. I really want a ria 9mm 1911 or a 44 Blackhawk.

Re-evaluate the condition of that S&W 27-2~!!!! In the shape you describe, NO
collector will be willing to go much more than your offer of $350~! I have one,
in the original wooden box; with all documents and tools in UNFIRED condition,
that I wouldn't take $1,000 for~! ;)

For three fidy, I'd buy it. The 27-2 in either of those barrel lengths is a fine magnum.
