Last night I acquired a Smith and Wesson 620. It was purchased in 2008 and never fired. I paid $550. Considering the current market in my area, I think I did pretty good. Personally, I am thrilled to have a brand new S&W seven shot 357. What do you all think?

About 9 years ago I bought a slightly used M619 which is the same revolver but with fixed sights. My M619 was very accurate and felt great in my hand. I should have kept that revolver but soon after I bought it I joined a club and we were shooting PPC matches and I needed a 6 round revolver.

Yep it's an L frame. I thought it was a 686+ when I first started looking at it. I did a little looking and the only real difference is that the 686 has a full underlug and the 620 has a two piece barrel design. The 620 is also less than an ounce lighter. Other than that, they are basically the same. Shot it yesterday and it was sweet..

I took it out and shot a few hundred rounds last night. After about 150 rounds or so it became somewhat difficult to close and rotate the cylinder. I have had this happen after about 1,000 rounds in other guns but not after only 150. Could it be because the gun is brand new? Could this have to do with the gun heating up for the first time? When I was packing up to go home I opened it up to make sure it was unloaded and I noticed it was no longer so stiff. This was after it cooled off. I cleaned everything up at home and now it seems to be back to normal. Any ideas?
