Driftwood yes sir, I'm probably the reason it got off track some, sorry guys. I know a fella that just bought a mod 65-3 with factory bobbed hammer, 3 inch barrel, per Roy jinks there are only 10 in existence. I suppose I get a lil jumpy when I hear of an unfired condition smith, I have 2 that were unfired except from the factory, both are mountain gun models they are no longer in unfired condition, sorry for the confusion folks, I'm kinda new to smiths, but am learning some, have a good'n

Since we are telling stories I'll add mine. I got my M36 from a local shop about 8 years ago. I went in to buy lead-away cloth and promised my wife who was in the car I would be right out. I looked in the case on the way out and saw the M36, the dealer said he just put it in the case. I wanted to keep my promise so I gave him a small deposit and said I would be back tomorrow to pick it up. Good thing I gave him a deposit because not 15 minutes later someone called asking to buy it, his friend saw it come in.

When buying the gun the dealer told me this gun was brought in by the wife of a deceased husband with a old box of ammo missing only 5 rounds. There was no turn line so he guessed the man fired a cylinder for function and put it in his nightstand where he wife said he kept it. Well, I "fixed" that problem the next day by firing a 100 or so rounds through it... lol I don't shoot it much now because I shoot my M442 mostly because it's my carry but I do take it to the range ever so often. Love that revolver and it loves the FBI Load.

Nice Herrets stock.

I have a set just like it and like it a lot.

Had to cut a speed loader scallop in the left side though, and never could match the finish color.
