Is Apex doing any gunsmithing these days? All I see is a parts business.
So how is one to get an Apex TSW?
Well, you can't get an Apex TSW, because they aren't ready to bring it to market...they have a Facebook page if you are interested in following their development.

I'm not sure they ever stopped doing gunsmithing. I think they stopped taking additional jobs to get caught up on their backlog of revolver builds...I think it's been a while since Randy has built a 1911 for a customer. They just had an Open House and installed any kits that you purchased; they've also done this at various other events.

I think the key words are "the cases just fall out"

In a revolver, they aren't trying to load to Major ( falls more inline with the LE marketing). They are just looking at loading to Minor but increasing reliable function/ejection

Until 2014 when the rule change allowed seven and eight shot revolvers to compete nearly all USPSA Revolver shooters shot Major power factor. Minor power factor 9mm did not displace 45 ACP as king of the division until just in the last year or two. The first two years of 8-shot revolvers 38 Short Colt was king of the division.

Like I said earlier the ejection issue with 9mm is more of a titanium cylinder issue than that particular cartridge issue and for the most part S&W has fixed the issue in most cases. Guys with stainless steel 9mm cylinders never have these ejection issues. Maybe if .356 TSW had been there in late 2013/2014 it might have stood a chance (assuming revolvers where readily available), but 9mm is the new King of USPSA Revolver division and it going to be hard to displace it now if for no other reason than, it is dirt cheap to run, the 9mm revolvers already exists, and they work and are winning.
