Smith - Corona 1903a3 for $600.00 ??

Stumbled onto a 1903a3 for sale in a gunshot in SoCal. They're asking $600. Is this anything to jump on? The rifle is about 85%.

An all USGI/unmolested 03A3 in that condition is well worth $600.

At that price, in that condition, and if it's still in it's original configuration; then most definitely YES!

I don't know that I would "jump on it" at that price, but I would certainly be taking a long, hard look at it. Check for signs of it being a recovered drill rifle. Primarily this would show as either discoloration in the finish or weld marks around the magazine cut-off. I would also look at the cartouches on the stock. If you are looking for an 03a3, and this one passes the smell test, it could certainly be a good candidate at that price.

Definitely worth inspecting for weld marks, butchering marks, condition, etc.

It's quite possibly worth twice that price or more if it's original or otherwise unmolested.
