I've read about the endurance package and all its wondrous glory. My 29 was from the modern era but couldn't hold its guts together, 2 trips back to smith, both times came back "fixed" . for a ruger guy, that revolver was completely unacceptable as far as durability, only factory ammo was used and it couldn't survive a couple thousand without being dangerously out of time. Not a hater but s&w won't get any of my money. My super redhawk has chewed through many thousands of full power 454 handloads and hasn't loosened up at all. There is a difference.
