I've had the privilege of shooting the BFR
Why, in .45/70, of course. I was scared to touch it off, but it really wasn't that bad. It's far more comfortable to shoot than a .44 MG with any factory load. Then, it's owner advised me that I'd shot his stepped-up handloads, and he handed over a single Federal factory load for me to shoot. That was as comfortable as .38s in a K-frame or .44 Special in the MG.
I can't say I wan't one, but I won't shy away from the opportunity to shoot the new maggie if I can.
