I finally had a chance to take some snapshots of my latest acquisition, specifically a Smith & Wesson M&P9c:

Here are some shots of the logos on the slide and frame:

Finally, here are a couple photos showing the M&P9c with an M&P9:

I need to also state here that these just came back from Burwell Gunsmithing to have Standard Trigger Jobs done. I sent in two M&P9s and the M&P9c for this work. The trigger has been my only complaint about the M&P, mainly because its reset is not crisp and distinct enough for my tastes. Its reset is also somewhat long, but I could have lived with that. Now, thanks to Dan, their triggers are lighter and smoother, and have a short, crisp, and distinct reset. In fact, their triggers now feel very much like a well broken-in Walther P99 AS trigger. I will be shooting the M&P9c for the first time this coming Tuesday evening. If you have an M&P and are not happy with its trigger, consider Dan Burwell's Standard Trigger Job. At $50 per pistol, it was a bargain. See: http://www.burwellgunsmithing.com/

Thanks for the photos.

Ironic that you post these on the first day of a SW sale at my LGS. Also ironic that I have been considering purchasing a compact (as I love my full-size M&P).

You may have made the decision for me.

I thank you, but the bride may send other thoughts your way. :D

Didn't realize the Compacts had come out with night sights yet, nice. All S&W lists are the standard sights.

Nicely done pics. I just picked up a M&P 9c with the factory Trijicons for $520 NIB :D I also got a free S&W range bag. Haven't fired it yet, but the M&P feels great and conceals well.

I just think the m&p's are a beautiful looking weapon. I just purchased the m&p 40 as my first firearm...I love it, can't wait to go to the range tomorrow and break it in a little.

btw, those pictures are awesome

Good news on the trigger job...the one thing I don't like about mine is that the trigger feels like a squirt gun trigger.

Goldbricks, you'll love it. My 40 seemed to need 500 rounds to break in (but maybe that's my shooting getting slowly better. :D ) THe trigger is a bit distinct in the sear-release, but it gets better. Mine is just fine with a little RiG grease on the sear. I don't think I'll ship it out for a trigger job. I could use some Trijicon sights, though.
