My first few trips to the range with my S&W 9mm Shield had me really starting to hate this little gun that I wanted so badly to love. My accuracy with the gun was very poor. The grip was too short and too narrow for me to control. The extended mag is funny looking so I added a pierce pink extension to the flush mag witch gives me the perfect length. I tried a few different finger placements on the trigger...for me the one that works the best is the revolver style 'all the way to the first joint' placement. The final piece of the puzzle was one of those rubber finger groove grips. I had been checking the reviews on different models and I was planning on ordering one from Amazon when I found that I already had one in a box from a gun trade long ago. I slipped that sucker on there and headed to the range. Now I'm sold on this cool little gun.
Just passing this along in case anybody is thinking about a Shield, or if anybody has one and they are having trouble dialing it in.
Also, I carry mine in a Black Hawk #4 Pocket holster. Fits fine in the front pocket of a pair of Levi jeans.
