Anyone ever try to smooth up the action on a AMERCIAN DERRINGER?? have one in 22LR and it has always seemed a bit stiff-- by design maybe but the question remains.

Rimfire’s need heavy hammer springs. The trigger will never be as good on a rimfire as a centerfire.
As for the single action derringer, that hammer cocking must take a bit of might as I know even the centerfire ones are pretty stiff. Nothing like on a Ruger single six.
