The American Legion here needs a magazine for their SMLE (MK III). I know Numnuts (Numrich or GunParts) has them, but can anyone quote a place with a cheaper price?

Nope. They're $35Cdn up here. $20.30US isn't bad. You really need to remember that these mags are nearly 100 years old.

I will DONATE a SMLE magazine to the American Legion. Are you sure it's a #1 MkIII, the mags are different for the #1 and #4 rifles. Is the rifle in question for shooting or just display?

PM me with the mailing address.

    Thanks SMLE!

The rifle is a WW I Mark III (no rear aperture sight). It's display only (as are all their guns).

Presently it is displayed with other rifles, but as they have one case with the British Empire regimental emblems, I suggested that they move that rifle there (in lieu of an Krag-Jorgensen Carbine and Japanese Type 38).

PM sent with snail mail addy for the American Legion.
