I have a s&w 625jm. I like to smooth out the trigger face serrations. I'm told to use a dremel tool. I'm not sure how do it or what dremel bit do you use. any suggestions?

Assuming here that you have the trigger firmly in a vise, start with a small cylindrical grinding stone and while resting your hand on the vise grind just until the serrations are almost gone. Use light pressure and let the high RPMs of the tool do the work. Switch to a sanding drum (medium or fine grit) and carefully finish removing the serrations and shape the trigger the way you want it. Final polishing is done by hand using successively finer grits of sandpaper wrapped around a wooden dowel. Work at a 45 degree angle to the trigger and alternate your stokes at 90 degrees from the last pass and eventually all the sanding marks will be gone. Finish up on a buffing wheel or a polish fob in your dremel. I like to take it all the way to 1500 grit. Keep it lightly oiled because it will want to rust after removing the factory finish. Enjoy.
