Snow holiday reloading fun (25 ACP)

With the sunny south at a virtual standstill due to the snow storm, I took the opportunity to set up for reloading 25 ACP. Dies, cases, and bullets were already on hand.

Did you know that an RCBS Universal hand priming tool will not prime 25 ACP? I now do. Fortunately, I have a bench mounted priming tool that uses press shell holders. Worked like a champ.

Die set up is pretty straight forward as any other straight walled handgun case.

Fortunately, my Redding 10-X managed to throw a powder charge small enough 25 ACP. This made loading the little round much more convenient.

It was a fun way to pass some time while stuck at home.

Anyone else do some fun activities during the snow besides shoveling?

I managed a few hundred 40S&W rounds loaded and ran another 500 cases through the Lee Buldge-Buster in preparation for the next loading day. I would have accomplished more but I was...er, "working from home".

So I'm not the only one to load for that mighty cartridge. A pound of Bullseye goes a long way with .25 acp.

I have issues, on three presses, getting uniform COL. A little variation makes a bigger issue on these diminutive rounds.

Spent yesterday making .45acp and .38 spl.

I managed to load 500 45ACP rounds while Birmingham was turning into a big parking lot. I can't wait to try out these 200 grain plated hollowpoints.

I loaded a few .380's and put a new handle on my press.

I'm stuck loading in my un-heated garage. It's 40*F in there right now and I don't have a space heater big enough to combat that kind of cold. But, I brought some 223 cases in from the dungeon and started reaming crimped primer pockets and trimming.
