I recently got a nice Leipetta 1861 Navy Snub nose 36. WOW! what a wonderful feeling hand full.
I bid also on the 1860 44 caliber snubnose on gunbr0ker, but the 'other guy' wanted it more than I did.
I sure would like the 1861 Navy grip, and the half fluted cylinder in 44.....
I like Navys in 44.
Let me look through my parts bin. I may have the grip frame and guard for a 51 in there. I favor the 60 size. If I find one, are you interested in a trade?
The fluted cylinders do look sharp. If I had a spare cylinder laying around I would try milling some flutes in it. I have the mill and rotary table, just need the right size ball mill. Anyone have a junk cylinder I can practice on?
Strawhat;
I didn't get that 1860 snub. So I don't have an 1860 grip to trade yet. But when I get one I'll remeber your offer.
Mad;
At $39 from Cabelas, it might be worth the gamble that you'd get it right the first time. You sure did on your Avenging Angel project.
