ZVP, the weight or mass of the hammer has no effect on ignition. The mainspring is responsible for that. A lighter hammer actually moves faster and delivers more energy to the firing pin (given the same mainspring with both hammers). I have shaved plenty of hammers down to almost nothing and not one has ever failed to bang a primer.

an lcr in 9mm with moon clips. should also get starline or someone to develop a 9mm auto rim cartridge for it, too. that way one could use either moon clips or speed loaders.

I want Ruger to offer a 3-inch GP100 with a 5-shot .44 spl cylinder. I might jump on one in .41 mag as well.

I love my old cut down Charter Arms. I wouldn't trade it for anything and have carried it every day for almost 15 years. Tough as nails, smooth and completely reliable.

The have a J frame in .327, 6 shot 3" barrel. Paid $532 for it. Love it.

You really need a 3" barrel to get that .32 bullet moving well, I can get 1400fps out of mine with 100gr bullet. Which is slamming a J frame, even in steel, as hard as I ever want to shoot.

Since everyone dropped .327's to concentrate on higher volume models the price went through the roof on existing guns. Expect to pay minimum of $700 for an SP101 or 632 in .327 on the auction sites. Even the .32 H&R guns are all above $500 for Ruger or S&W.
