So, anyone buying a gun to commemorate our nation?

Well, I picked up the Carbine. The price was at retail but they threw in a box of shells so I can't complain too much. Now I guess I have to shoot the dang thing. I still have some 9mm left over from when I used to own a 9mm pistol so I guess that will be first out the pipe. I think tomorrow will be a good day to go.

I must say it looks quite evil. I wonder If there is a plan to ban them as they look so evil? Banning evil looking things is very American also.

I thought this was America? I guess it is. Buying foreign made goods seems to be the American way these days.
UHHH..... I'm celebrating winning the cold war.

Well, I picked up the Ruger 10/22 today. Special order finally came in. I can't wait until tomorrow to celebrate The Fourth out at the range shooting guns, like a true American. :)

I bought a Remington 7400 in 30.06 and a S&W 1000 20 gauge shotgun (been looking for a nice S&W 20 gauge for about 20 years now).

I know no one needs an excuse. But some of us are married, so we gotta tell the wife something.

Plus, I don't have a 22 pistol yet and I'll get a lot more trigger time for the buck if I do.

The currently offered rifles are Russian Captures... i.e. sixty-odd years ago some communist peasant on the Eastern Front "liberated" this rifle from a Nazi soldier who... shall we say... no longer had need of it. Rifles were refinished in a Russian arsenal and stored away for a rainy day!
Weird, I had a guy bring a Russian-captured K98 in for sale the other day down here. I also had a guy bring in a beautiful Krag from estate sale, along with a Winchester 1897 trench gun (!) Still mulling over those.

Most likely, I'll be going with the S&W 686 I've been lusting for...

I'd love to pick up a Krag, but all the ones I've seen at shows that were in decent shape were a little pricey for my blood.

'92 Puma CC/Blue 20" Octagon in .45 Colt

Nothing says American like an imported(from South America) Lever action.
Enjoy the fourth!

I just returned from the gun shop. Purchased a Uberti .45 Colt to celebrate independence and the right to purchase a firearm. :D

I am however unable to exercise my freedom from my wife who WILL kill me when she finds out. :p

If someone were willing to help me out with about $250, I'd love to pick up a Springfield Mil-spec 1911. Come on, don't you want to express your patriotism by helping someone pick up a piece of classic Americana?

Please?
