Somewhere in a thread discussing (again) the superiority of one model/caliber of handgun over another, military tests were mentioned.
I'm sure these were very serious & stringent . "10.000 rounds fired" were mentioned.
That reminded me of some gun magazines some years back : firing 10.000 rounds with one & the same gun was called a "torture" test.
Is that what a handgun is supposed to be able to stand ?
Most handgun shooters I know visit the range weekly, and it's really not unusual for some to shoot -oh let's say- about 200 rounds with one particular gun each time.
Does that mean that by the end of only ONE YEAR (52 x 200 = 10.800) they've "tortured" their gun to death ?
