I've tried to find the best combination between length and lumens in an LED, and these are my front runners, in order of prefernce all LED in hopes itll stand up to recoil :

Streamlight- NF2 can the extraneous stuff (looks obstructed) be removed so it can put into a clamp?

Surefire 6p, non crennelated - http://www.opticsplanet.net/surefire-handheld-flashlight-6p.html

Surefire G2 - http://www.opticsplanet.net/surefire-g2-led-flashlight.html

The NF2 is by FAR the brightest, but can I get it to fit ina standard 1" clamp?

Stop.

You should cobble a light up to meet your needs. Solarforce makes Surefire clone parts.

Start here. Lighthound is a great retailer!

There are bodies, tailcaps, tape switches, LED or incan lamps, etc.

I built a 380 lumen (running 2x17500 or 3x 123a) incan weapon light for $60.

G2's run in the $30's bur the 6P has always been $50+ bucks.

For non combat applications, the clones can be configured any way you like for way less money.
