Im looking for real ideas here..

SOOooo, is the future of loading your own ammunition in jeopardy? For instance, the components that you would use..powder, brass, bulllets, primers?

Where should i put my money?

The one thing that can not be make at home or even a decent small shop is primers. In a sever pinch a good chemist can manufacture black powder without blowing himself up. Casting your own bullets is a back yard hobby enjoyed by many. Good molds & loading dies can be manufactured by a decent machine shop or someone with a CNC machine at home. Primers are the choke point of our entire modern firearms system. Trying to manufacture those is quite literally playing with dynamite.

time machine sounds great.... BUT,

I honestly love guns enough, that in this time of political and economic despair i want to literally put my money in guns, and the ammo that feeds them.
That being said if i have the extra money to invest, long term, in firearms and ammunition. what is a real option? what guns? what ammunition?

For instance the Saiga-12 shotgus that are imported and converted into a beautiful AK- 47 lookalike shotgun. will these be banned from further importation? And will the guns be classified as destructive devices?

Another angle as ammunition..... will a tax actually be soo significant that it is beneficial to stock ammo.. is it really worth it? or should i think about stockpiling certain types of ammo? large rifle, 50bmg, steel core/ tungston penetrater projectiles...

where should i invest?????

all i know is i have 600 .38 1500 9mm and 500 cci .22, need more .22 but i will have enough to run to the range for a year or so if needed, cheap day if i dont stop to buy ammo...

I would just wait and then the ammo will become available again as well as the components and any compontents baught as investment will go the way of the stock market here recently. Heck if I wait long enough I might actually be able to put my college degree to use. I havent had a real job since I graduated 4 yrs ago. I guess my time in the military does count as a real job....right......

Buy magazines if you want to invest in ammunition. Magazines are instant currency, and if Obama carries out his plan to reinstate the AWB they may be worth their weight in gold.

i like that thought... thats a good idea

i've noticed the price of the 75 rd chinese ak drums climbing higher and higher

What kind of ammo do monkeys use? ThrottleJockey says they are about to be banned.
Monkey ammo is where it's at. If you can find some that is.

Yup, they're gonna ban primates, buy all the monkeys you can get you're hands on while you still can. I recommend the 200 pound chimp. Now lets stop bumping this thread.
