The pics weren't the best to start out with but I didn't think they were to bad for the ameature that I am. :) I've always wanted to be able to make pictures like these but I didn't want to buy photoshop to do it. :)

Ok, playing with it some more, I messed up a bit on the head of the snake but still not bad. BTW, to keep it gun related, anyone wanna guess the caliber used on the snake? :)

Nope sorry, it wasn't a .357.

Since flashlights go with guns so well here is an A2.

Wow, I think I'm getting sloppier. I'll need to fix the A2 pic soon.

Clipse, your wife (fiance?) is gorgeous. She looks a bit like Jessica Beil...

I, too, like your custom 1911 grips. What wood and staining technique did you use? Do they hold up well to sweat and abraison?

I like the Gimp, I've been using it myself for years. I like it a good deal better than Photo shop. I think it takes a good deal more talent, requires art in the edit.

on the snake, .380?

im tryin out this gimp program and its pretty sweet...
Hey clipse, how do you get such close detail on your photos?

here is my first good whack, i used select-hand regions to do it, but i am dead tired so my hand wasnt so steady.

haha this should count as gun-related:

No offense, but as a graphic designer by trade, thats just .. well.. silly. Gimp is a great program for what it is, especially for free. It is not the industry standard for professional work though. Photoshop is an often misunderstood tool by the non-professional, who isn't aware how to use it to its full potential.

I've tried to use photoshop to it's full potential...then my head exploded.

Now I just focus on using it to touch up my photography work along with the occasional crazy-tweak :D

Gads I have GOT to set up the strobes again and play with some gun-pron
