I started a thread not long ago saying that I had finally sold off the last of my semi-autos. And I really am a revolver guy at heart, I just prefer them. One of the posters (dont remember and Im too lazy to look it up atm) said something that I thought was profound.
He said:I like my semi-autos for what they do, I like my revolvers for what they are. Amen Brother.
However, I was at a gunstore/range in Bryan, TX not long ago and in there they had a Sig p250 compact .45. It was $600 NIB and I thought "hmm a Sig for $600?" I asked the gentleman behind the counter if I could dry-fire it a few times. I bought it on the spot. The trigger was the smoothest DA I have ever found in a semi-auto. It is awesome. This model is DAO, maybe that is why I like it, because I am used to it. I only had 60 rounds left, so I went and shot the rest of them up at the range. Fist-sized groups at 10 yards, which is good enough for me. It has a nice fit and finish, great night sights, but only came with one 9 round mag :(. Who knows, this may just the be a new beginning for me and semi-autos?

Anyone else have experience with these yet? Also has anyone seen any of the conversion kits? I wouldnt mind having one in 9mm, and I have seen them online for $329, but they all seem to be out of stock.

I finally found some large pistol primers, so when I get a chance to work up some reloads Ill do a more thorough range review. So far I have nothing to complain about except only getting one mag, and occasionaly a spent casing would land on my head.

I like the P250 9mm that I handled at the Post Fall, ID Cabela's
store.

A person could get used to the rather long reset.

I think they should have called it the P250 America, as
without any German made parts, it is not really a SIG to me.

I bought a P250 fullsize 45acp back in March. Like you say, it does have a very smooth D.A. trigger. Fit and finish excellent. I know it's just me but I could not get used to a DAO pistol so I sold it and got a CZ97b. I shoot it much better. With the DAO my hand seem to move down slightly on every pull of the trigger and could not put up any decent groupings.
