One thing to consider as well would be if you take a year off would you be able to get back in immediately? If you have to go to the back of a waiting list to get back in that might be a reason to stay current.
IMO it all comes down to how much one is willing to pay to pursue an activity one enjoys. If that type of range is all that’s available and it’s disposable income go for it.
If you know some of the other after hours shooters why don't you get together and talk to management about their decision. Seven o'clock sure doesn't allow for much after work shooting
and if they think they might lose a bunch of members they might reconsider. In fact, they might consider having an employee there if they are worried about what is going on.
