He didn't mention shotguns at all, unless they are covered under rifles, in which case they still won't be affected as you can get a 5 round mag for a Saiga or other hi cap shotguns, and Pumps don't carry more than 7 or 8, so that looks like it's ok, even though nothing is likelly to get through Congress other than Background checks.

There shouldn't have been anything mentioned about shotguns at all. Same thing with "armor piercing" rounds. If they are serious about fixing the problem, which they can't do, they shouldn't focus at all on shotguns or AP rounds.

Mental health, enforcing existing laws, making sure psychos don't have weapons and strengthening families and community are how you'd stop the tragedies. Oh, and arming more of the good people.

If he tried to restrict the shotguns used in Columbine (double barrel) and Aurora (Rem 870), the Fudds would unite with the EBR crowd. That is the opposite of divide and conquer.

If be gets what he wants with the EBR crowd, shotguns will come later.

USAF ...... You nailed it. One link at a time and the dog will be pinned to the ground and unable to fight.

There's plenty of black plastic shotgun stocks out there, with rails and pistol grips and everything. Sooner or later their mere appearance will become too much for the antis to handle, and they'll come after the owners/manufacturers of tactical shotguns.

They want us to be disarmed. Play all the lawyer-ball you want, but their goal is our
disarmament.

If they are serious about gun crimes, then they need to focus on the criminals and the cause - poverty, drugs, lack of morals, entitlement mentality, lack of responsibility.

Guns used to be brought to school (legally) all the time through the 70's with no shootings, no incidents, nothing. But then, society hadn't quite unraveled from the implementation of LBJ's Great Society in the mid 60's; by the 80's, however, an entire generation had........and it has been downhill since

you know why i bought a mossberg 590a1.

it looks cool

and second - in 2008 i couldnt find a box of 9mm anywhere. for 8 months. but shotgun ammo in cases for cheap.

when all the ammo has sold out theres still 00 bucks and rifled slugs to stock pile.

when all else is going to hell the shotgun and ammo is always available. something to be said for that even if it isnt ideal for every situation.

I picked up a few boxes of 00 buck today. I was surprised that it was in stock. There were about a dozen boxes of 2-3/4" and 3" 00 buck. Didn't have the coin to clean them out, but I'll be set for awhile.

That fudd argument is crap. Just about every hunter I know (including my state rep) huntes Coyote with an AR.....
Do they hunt quail and pheasant with an AR, too? Do they shoot clays with an AR? No, I bet they use a shotgun, either a pump, side by side or over/ under.

Many gun owners know the AR is a fine hunting rifle, but a lot of fudds are still okay with letting the AR's go as long as they can keep their shotguns. It worked in England.

I think you are wrong about him getting what he wants, what he wants is this to go away, he really has no benefit in continuing this any further. He got the stage for a few weeks handed this off to joe, and really didn't do much after all was said and done.
I don't think "as I said before" that this is going anyware. Unless some crazy person does another school shooting, it will die in Congress with some renewed Background checks and possiblly a temporary 10 round restriction on magazines, which will get overturned on some techicality by a smart attorney, or the Supreme court, "if they are in the mood to hear it"
If you notice he kept saying that Congress has to OK this, he said it several times. It was an executive action, not an executive order. Going to the bathroom is an executive action, when the PODUS does it, so don't allow yourself to be mislead by the language they use.
Just like yesterday when a Congresswoman said, Imported assault weapons. It's a tricky situation.

I think... as i recall Feinsteins bill would cover saiga's....

But probably our assault semi auto over and under's and 1100's are ok till they move to phase two.
