Speaking of protection...I remember the first time we went hunting, he was sitting about 4 feet to the left of the end of my muzzle. I was shooting an AR with a pretty mean muzzle brake. When we sat down I asked him if he wanted some plugs, we declined. I only let out one shot, but every time since he makes sure he has earpro before we head out.
