hey, how do you guys keep your feed ramps polished? any technique or particular tool that you experts love to use?

In a semi-auto pistol, it's really just a matter of elbow grease. I start with a paper towel wrapped around a finger. Then a brush, either nylon or copper depending on how dirty it is. If you have one of those brushes that are intended to brush out magazine tubes (usually oval shaped), they also make an excellent brush for cleaning feed ramps. If you're shooting lead, you'll not need any chemicals. If you shoot copper jacketed bullets, there may be build up on the ramp, which will require a copper cleaning chemical.

I use a Dremel tool with one of those little round polishing pads. I wrap the collet on the tool with electrical tape to insure I don't scratch the beJEEZUS out of anything I don't intend to scratch, then I put a little Maas Metal Polich (or something similar) on the feed ramp and PREST-O CHANGE-O! A nice gleaming feed ramp I can part my hair in!

Sorry ZK, I didn't realize you were talking about polishing vs cleaning. I always had my ramps polished by my pistolsmith as part of an accuracy/realiability/trigger job. But I bet a Dremel would work just fine.

Shouldn't need any polishing - more pistols are screwed up by people thinking that they have to polish their feedramps than are helped in any way by the polishing.

Let your bullets do their own polishing.

The feed ramp should need a real polishing only once. After that a normal cleaning with a patch soaked in Hoppes #9 ought to keep it bright.
