I am so sick to death of every time I need to ship a gun, which is very rare, it's gigantic goat rope.

All I want to do is ship a Redhawk down to Magnaport to have the barrel ported. It would be easier to go to the moon.

The folks at Magnaport told me to just ship it to them via UPS 2nd DayAir. UPS won't accept it. They don't ship guns. I called Fedex. Fedex said they would only ship a gun if BOTH sender and receiver had an FLL.

I swear, people act like an unloaded, packaged firearm is radioactive nuclear waste.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Yeah, I have a Taurus that needs to go back. I live two hours from where it needs to go in Miami. I'll drive it there myself if they'll accept it from me (anyone here ever do that, hand-deliver a firearm back to its maker or CS/repair center?)

And they could have saved him a headache and just told him that.
It's by the airport. I'm going to drive down there in the morning and give it a try before I fly out for 2 weeks. But I don't have a copy of magnaport's FFL, so they may not take it.

I had a ups store employee argue with me about shipping a couple of scopes because they are "firearm parts"

Any person, child or adult, can have innumerable types of har.fum or dangerous items shipped to their doorstep just by typing in any (other) persons card number and nobody bats an eye.

Knives, powder, chemicals, hazardous cleaning chemicals, poisons, etc. Things that could cause harm with ill intent. All fine.

Unloaded gun or firearms part?...well that could kill someone!
