I owned this post recall SR9 until about two weeks ago when a friend said he just had to have it! So I sold it to him! I owned this OD gun for about two months after I had purchased it NIB. During the time I owned it I put several hundred rounds through it with absolutely no problems whatsoever. It functioned flawlessly with a variety of 9mm ammo.
The trigger on the SR9 is striker fired as are a variety of other polymer pistols. Many people criticize this style of trigger as being "gritty" but that certainly was not my experience at all.
I found the SR9 trigger to be quite crisp and liked it a lot.
The SR9, in my experience, is a fine, reliable, particularly ergonomic pistol and I certainly would not hesitate to purchase another one.
