Now that Rock River Arms is shipping the long awaited LAR-8 .308, I want to see who posts the first THR range report. I'm really fighting with myself not to order one. In the last week alone I've bought a Noveske AR and a Bohica 50 BMG, I really like my wife and would prefer to stay married, so I'm done for a while. So who's it gonna be? Bart?

I got tired of waiting and am now piecing together a 24" Armalite AR10T. I'll probably pick one up before the end of the year.

Where did you hear that they were shipping?

Figure it takes me 6-8 months to get a lower, I wont be holding my breath on the LAR-8s I ordered back in September :D

How about a range report with a couple hundred down the tube? I'd really like to see if they ironed out the bugs that some of the bushy versions of that rifle had.

Have a good one,
Dave

In the words of the great philosopher Paris Hilton: "That's hot"

I may hold off on getting a DPMS until I see how those RRA's do, they are in the same price range.

went to a gunshow today and my AR dealer had a few (i think he said 6) & sold the last one right before i got to the show :(

I took my new LAR-8 to the range this weekend. All I can say is WOW! I have found a few range reports showing sub MOA groups with a 16" barrel. They are correct! Once zero'd with a Bushnell 3-9 scope at 100 yds from a table resting on my range bag 1MOA was or less was common! The 2 stage trigger is fantastic. Light enough to carry but handles recoil well. fit and finish is fantastic. Zero malfuntions with Remington UMC and cheap Silver Bear ammo. Whatever the issue was with original BM design would seem to be fixed. All in all I couldn't be more pleased with this rifle! 8)

I saw one a couple weeks ago at my local gun shop. It had a 16 inch barrel and was remarkably light. I believe the price was under $1,000. It was quite light and handy. I believe the store owner said the rifle used FAL mags. The stock was collapsible too. If I hadn't just bought a M1A I would have considered buying it...Oh Well............:D

I got mine, I got lucky and called around till I found one. I have already did some addons to it.
