Hey! Enough with the soccer mom remarks! My wife is an SUV driving soccer mom. She also has a Ruger .45 cal P95 and can outshoot most of my gun owning buddies.

Seriously though, there's plenty of modern mom's and wives that still have good sense and the propaganda machine would have you believe that all women are skeered of those barbaric fiery boomsticks. I don't buy it--I think the Pro-Gun soccer mom numbers are rising just as the "Million Moms" numbers are quickly approaching single digits.

I know one. She used to be an engineer in Alaska. I also know 4 others that would just LOVE to see my firearms and your's melted into some new-age sculpture. Unfortunatly those four are blood relations :(
 
hey my wife drives a station wagon (no kids yet, but we're working on that :evil: :evil: ).

She's damn good with the Glock 23 and perfers to shoot the sniper rifle over the automatics anyday. Her nickname is can killer, because on our first date at the shooting range, she was making a can dance with a 10/22. And she is born and raised in the Bay Area.

Either your wife is one hell of a good shot or your buddies shouldn't be shooting at all.

My god - imagine what she could do with a real .45! ;)
 
Saw a lady in an SUV today with an NRA spare tire cover!! However, I don't know that she is the soccer mom type. SUV had heavy guards front and back, but commuter tires. (??)
 
Or could be like a friend of mine. He's got a place in Montana and he keeps a set of 35" Swampers on aluminum wheels there for his 'burbon when he goes. When he heads back he tosses the street tires and factory wheels on. Saves wear on the Swamps and saves gas(theoretically). Looks about absurd but oh well... Oh, his wife would probably fit the Armed Soccer Mom category.
 
I'm getting married in August, and my fiance is a Soccer Mom in training. She's still a bit skittish aroudn handguns, but she's getting better, and agreed to get her permit when I go in.

i guess you miss a big part of the point.
the gun means nothing.,
it's the SUV.

and the "my kids are the best, no one else on earth matters"
attitude.

funny thing is the soccer mom who plowed her SUV into my buddy's TINY MR2-
she rolled, went to the hospital. (because she was too busy on the phone to look or signal, total her fault on the spot)

him and his daughter, just fine.

the plenty of modern moms who are sensible,
around here anyway, they dont drive SUVs , they drive European.

no one sensible drives an SUV in the city. you want a safe car , get a volvo or mercedes.

actually to me, it makes perfect sense a "soccer mom" would be armed, and that some homeless guy would ask for change at the wrong time, and get shot by paranoid soccer mom.
i know a few moms who are pretty heavily armed - one friend, his mom's silver .45 revolver is kept with his guns. so sweet.
BUT - they are in no way "soccer moms", the armed moms i know.
the other runs a horse ranch out here

sorry, but i have seen to many spoiled brat non working trophy soccer moms
around here not to be annoyed by their existence.
 
Well.... I live in a fair sized city - 60k people, with abother 200k or so within 50 miles - but there are times when an SUV would be real nice here. Right now we share a '97 Ranger 4cyl, but we intend to sell it in the next couple years and buy a Scion xB and a 4cyl Jeep.
