Facebook has a lot of pro gun, and anti Obama polls and the like on it, good to add your vote to some of them. Any how that's what I use it for, and to post pro gun articles and news that civilians who aren't members on NRA type organizations don't get to see.
Just a suggestion, as we here all know the truths, of the gun world, but they just hear the one sided anti gun rhetoric.
I honestly didn't go there to find or make friends, "other than Dog lovers who support saving animals from execution".
But did find many people who were mis informed and open to hear the truth about what's really going on and to have the real statistics of how guns save lives, instead of what they have been led to believe. So you may want to join just to look at where you might do some good work in teaching the average uninformed joe the truth.

Sadly FB itself is not very pro 2A. My state allows private sale of firearms without FFL. There were as in past tense some very nice groups running for buy/sell. They were active and the mods were on top of anything being out of line. Members would post warnings if someone was sketchy or known to be unable to purchase. Responsible gun owners doing their thing responsibly.

Everything has been shut down. Even a group that changed to a discussion group no sales postings allowed.

I have noticed the NRA is working social media pretty heavy. That is a good thing.
Sure most of the post come to me because I may be following a issue. I get hammered with stuff from every conceivable conservative group that I liked.
Usually, like everyone here you would think its just preaching to the already sold. ( My #1 complaint with the NRA)
But what happens with Face Book is if I share one of the things that was sent me. It pops up on every ones Face Book page that I am friends with.
I can attest by the many heated exchanges I have gotten into with my Liberal Aunt who lives in San Fran. People who would never search out this stuff are seeing it. Then I notice all the people who have jumped into the discussion ether on my side or hers.
Once they follow it, it gets passed on to all their friends and that runs into even more people.

I have always hated Social media. I felt it was a way for my Boss to snoop on me, ect. But now I am starting to realize the true power that is there. Its a fine line to follow. Too much politics and you get unfriended ( we dont want that, we need converts). SO I post just the right amount of cute puppy pictures to get the requisite Awwwwww thats cute.
Then a few fart gifs to get a laugh. Then sneak in a NRA message.
So I suggest getting on Facebook and collect as many friends as you can get. Then start slowly changing minds.

I can give you another example of how this works. last fall my dog ran off. After a couple days I was ready to write him off. My wife posted a lost dog ad on the facebook page of the animal shelter.
With in twenty minutes I was on my way to pick up my dog who was mooching off a family 5 miles away.
Once it hit the Face book pages of all the people who follow the shelters site. They shared it with all their friends. Next thing you know my wife gets a post on her page with a photo. " Is this your dog?" WOW!!!

Very true all of that Coz. Myself I'm minus 3 west coast family members so far because I kept countering their anti posts.
