We often discuss the potential social/legal impact of signs, bumper stickers, etc. Today in the NYT about a LEO who got a lot of negative repercussions for describing hes profession as "disposing of human garbage."
Has anyone here seen similar stuff on social media that might not, shall we say, play well in court?

Note sure about in court, but it certainly has factored into news articles. About a month ago in Lexington, SC a girl's ex-boyfriend killed her and her two children (then himself). The news article reporting the incident specifically mentioned that he had "Killing stuff" listed as a hobby on Facebook.

When I worked at the DA's office we would often scour a defendant's social media pages. I can remember many times that they would have pictures of themselves flashing gang signs and holding guns. I can remember one moron who was already a convicted felon, so he cannot legally own a gun, who had pics of himself with at least 10-15 different guns and had posted bragging about the robbery that he was getting away with because the prosecutor was dumb and his lawyer was expensive. Needless to say, the jury found that pretty interesting, and he is rotting in prison now.
