SOCOM flash hidder

Can the flash hidder on a Springfield SOCOM be swapped for a normal one or a Vortex type? Looks like I am getting one and was wondering about it.

A standard flash suppressor won't fit on a SOCOM. There may be someone making one that will fit, but the SOCOM one works so well I wouldn't change mine even if I could.

IIRC the flash hider on the socom is integrated into the gas block so it's not an easy swap. I think smith enterprise makes a different one but it's not cheap.

I agree 100% ---- my SOCOM is the softest recoiling .308 I have ever owned.
