Soft rubber grips hurt concealability?

I traded a S&W 908 for a Kahr K9 because I've always wanted one, and it just feels and shoots better for me. Suprisingly, though, I've found that it's a little tougher to conceal. The soft rubber is constantly catching my shirt and "outing" me when I stand up or get out of my vehicle, which the hard plastic "2x4" grips on the Smith never did. Does anyone else have this issue?

Besides buying wood grips direct from Kahr, can anyone recommend an aftermarket source? I'd like to find something that has a little texture (preferably not checkered), but isn't "sticky" like the soft rubber. If I could have custom grips made out of anything, I'd probably get a set made from aluminum like the handles of my Benchmade 720. Those handles just feel perfect to me.

Any ideas?

Rubber grips grabbing clothes has been a know problem for years. I think the best solution is to look for grips made of a different material. Some rubber or plastic grips are more "sticky" than others, but I can't make any specific reccomendations for the Kahr. Personally, I'd try the wood grips.

Sticky rubber is also hard to draw from a holster. If you dont get a good grip the first time, its hard to adjust.

I think it depends entirely upon your body, how you carry, and (less) the holster design.

I have soft rubber grips on several of my guns, and have not really noticed a problem.

They are not (rubber grips) so darne expensive that you can't try some to see how they affect you, when you carry.

Also, there are soft rubber grips and soft rubber grips: some are very soft, some are much harder. Pachmyars are different than Hogues which are different than Uncle Mikes, etc.

I prefer the small Hogues to the Packmeyers because the material is less likely to drag on cloth. A good holster can work wonders by keeping the grip near the body.

If the front & back strap have proper grooves/checkering for gripping, you might consider something like this: The scales feel good in the hand.
