My standard for a good gun deal has always been $100. If I can get something actually made of steel that would shoot I figured it was worth $100. I have a bunch of guns I bought over the years for a C note or less.
Well, Sunday night I was casually perusing the Mausers on GunBroker and I saw a Turkish rifle that was certainly well worn but was complete (even has a bayonet with it). I think it was dated 1942 or 43 if I recall and when I spotted it the high bid was $59. I made a $90 bid on it for fun and won the auction at $81. Total was $106 with shipping directly to me via my C&R. So apparently you can still get something that goes BANG for about a hundred bucks.
Hey, I got about 1500 rounds of military 8x57 in the garage so for $81 I figure I can have some fun with it.
