Winston and Chloride in Sierra County New Mexico could use some more hunting , horse, and gun minded good neighbors, so where else to post this FYI.

All these places are at about 6200' elevation, generally have cedar, pinion pine, spanish oak, white oak, ponderosa, black walnut, cottonwood, and several kinds of brush. Deer, elk coyotes, bear, mnt.lion, turkey, among others are the wildlife.

1) There is 12 flat acres, mountains all around, 6200'elevation, with a old adobe house , well, fenced, and 25'x50' block building. 32 miles west of I-25 and TorC.
It belongs to my friend Ike. He wants $90K. Call him directly at 505-743-0188

2) South of Winston 9 miles is 80 acres for $138K. On Gila NF boundary . .
(This one might be sold)SOLD

3) One Section mountain ranch land (aprox.640acres), east side is old town of Chloride, west boudary is the Gila NF. contact owner/seller is Donald Luna at 505- 743- 2543.

4) Double wide on 1+ acre with 2 car garage, store room, and well. Jack 505-743-0235.

5) 80 acres in the Gila National Forest about 8 miles SW of Winston. In a Canyon called Byers Run. 505- 743- 2701

Do a Google search of Winston/Fairview, or Chloride, or Sierra County , or Black Range Mountains, or Gila National Forest for area information.

If I hear of any others I'll update or post it here.

Harve, great information and thanks for sharing. When you have a minute can you give a little more? Wild game available, bag limits, seasons, are the prices fair, what is the range we should look at, water, power? Stuff like that.

The NM&F website is www.wildlife.state.nm.us

I am not a realtor and have nothing to gain in this except I'd like to see more of hunter, gun oriented, and horse folks then tree huggers in sandals, short sleeve pants, and pony tails:neener: moving in.

Best thing is to call the owners, they are friendly country people and will answer your questions.

But, how do you feel about a gun oriented hunter who has a ponytail (actually had until 6 months ago) and wears both shorts and sandals? :neener:

Harve,

How long of drive is it from Winston to Albuquereque and how far is it to Pheonix?
