Some more price gouging

I see a lot of posts in this thread and others where people point out a shop and say "I will never shop there again" because of price or because they have been shopping there for years and they should be treated better etc. This is your prerogative but I take a different approach.

The way I look at it is this is about me not the seller. It's what I want and what I'm willing to pay for it. Each purchase is a business transaction, not something personal. So there is no reason for hurt feelings.

I have no allegiance to any store or seller. With any purchase whether for ammo or anything else, I shop around for the best price and that's where I buy.

If CTD has prices today that I don't agree with, I won't buy there. But if they have a product tomorrow for the best price I will buy there tomorrow. Why would I not want to get the best price?

Someone suggested getting a list together of shops with the best prices. I absolutely agree with this...

A member of this forum - msiley - has started a web site: www.ammoengine.com it lists several online sites and the current price for ammo. PM him to have him add shops that are not listed or check out the thread he started here asking for feedback. With a little help from all of us he could create a really great resource for us.

Here is his thread:

Indeed it is. Are you alleging collusion--a criminal activity--between all of the providers of ammunition? If so, I'd like to see your evidence.
That was not an accusation of any criminal behavior. I was just responding to the aggrandizing of a laissez-faire market as being one where the consumer can never be screwed.

If CTD has prices today that I don't agree with, I won't buy there. But if they have a product tomorrow for the best price I will buy there tomorrow. Why would I not want to get the best price?
There is more to value than simply the monetary expense of goods exchanged. If a company offers better customer service, I can decide that the value added is enough for me to defray that additional cost.

How many of us (I say us, but I don't mean me) remember when a loaf of bread was a nickel, and so was a box of salt? How about when 7.62x39 was a dime each? Did BO prez really slip an ammo measure (that tripled the tax) into page 967 (or so) of an 1100 page financial bailout bill that most Reps and ALL Dems signed without carefully reading all the added pork? Hurry up and sign it into law and God only knows what goes with it. So we pay for the "free economy"? Come talk to me about my swamp in Alabama I'm trying to sell. (Just don't ask how I got it in the first place)
