I've fallen in love with a pistol........

and it's a Glock:what:

Yeah, so I'm fighting the urge to buy a Glock 21. No reason to buy it, plenty of reasons not to, but I really like the feel, balance, etc.

Please talk me out of buying it.

Everyone needs at least one Glock in their collection... Me, I prefer their 9 mm's but hey, if the 45 acp does it for you, why not? :neener:

 Go ahead get the glock . I had always swore i wouldnt own one but then the other day it happened and i bought a Glock Model 36 by the time i got home i didnt feel bad about my purchase anymore LOL

Glock?

Never seen one, but somebody told me they're kinda like an overpriced Hi-point.

HA!

If you want it and can afford it, why not. I don't like them, but that's personal preference. You've got your own opinions and are spending your own money. If you buy and don't like it, you can always sell later. If you don't buy it, you'll always wonder if you missed an opportunity.

I have three criteria for buying anything, guns included. Do I really want it? Can I afford it? Are the bills paid?

If the answer to all three is yes, go for it.

My Glock 26 was a great gun. I wish I had it still.

For the one you are looking at: Buy it if you want.....you don't need a needs test.

You shoul go to confession

Falling in love with a Glock, don't cha no...

I'd like to help, but I have an aversion to convincing people NOT to buy pistols (even (imo) soul-less Glocks).

I just can't do it... I'm sorry, so very, very sorry.

Drop the 1 off and get a G20

The 10MM G20 is a fun gun to have.

I can't even afford to shoot .45 as it is. HTF am I going to afford 10mm? Although, it does make me wish I could.:banghead:

There's your answer.

Honestly, the G21 (I own one) is not a 1911 (I own one). It's a good handgun and reliable, but it isn't a fun range gun IMO.

Accurate enough, but not as accurate as my 1911.

Spend your gun money on ammo for guns you already have. Buy a case of 44mag or 44special ammo instead.

Only get one once you can afford to shoot .45ACP.

Those 13 round magazines will eat up ammo really quickly:D

Steve - Who also wants a Glock 21, but who has 600+ rounds of .45ACP ammo and no gun.

I do not like glocks because of the way they feel and the fact that their is no external safety, but that is my problem and my issue. Many people will bitch about Glocks, and I am one of them  , BUT no one can say they dont go bang every time...so if you really like it...go for it...

Don't tempt me.

Now if only I could get my reloading bench set-up....

Well hurry up and get your reloading bench up to speed!

Also, get a C&R license for $30 and the money you save on reloading equipment will pay for the license. Midwayusa is a great place for reloading gear and they also give you a dealer discount on reloading equipment.

I bought one and there's no going back. It's a great gun and no reason not to own one. I got a 34 and it just plain runs, which is more than I can say for guns I've owned that cost twice as much.

Yup Glock bashers are simply jealous IMO. Nothing like a gun with the reliability of a hammer, durable, lightweight, accurate, affordable, and easy to maintain. Are they pretty? Nope not by a longshot but they arent Hi-Point ugly either and I kinda like the subtle beauty of simplicity present in a Glock.

Go over to Glocktalk....Do a search for a member named Bigbore...He did a "homeade" torture test on a 21 that was seriousely impressive...So impressive I HAD to buy a new one....It's a good read.....Rich
