You know that's not a bad price for a cased set with a Model 1851 and a Model 1860 together. Really like the look of the engraving and the faux ivory grips with the raised eagles.

I agree. They look pretty nice to me. If this thread and that link hade come at a different time, I might well be $450 poorer, and two black powder revolvers 'richer'.

Here are the list prices from the EMF 1997 catalog and January price list:
PP60CH448 Case Hardened Steel Frame 1860 .44 $216
GREWN* Faux Ivory Grips with Eagle $70
Engraving **~ $50
Total $$336
(*Navy size as Army size only lists Plain Faux Ivory for $50)
(**Price for the catalog pictured engraved model PP60CHE448 is not listed but The Brass Frame engraved model is $47 more expensive the than the plain Brass Frame model)
PP51CH-712 Case Hardened Steel Frame 1851 .44 $192
GREWN Faux Ivory Grips with Eagle $70
Engraving *~ $50
Total $$312
(*Price for the Steel Frame engraved model is not listed but the Brass Frame engraved model is $53 more expensive the than the plain Brass Frame model)
No French style cases are listed but the English cases list for around $100
Your total cost for these, in 1997, would have been about $748
Added: The 1990 EMF catalog and March 1990 price list show the Steel Frame 1860 engraved version more than $100 over the plain Steel Frame version. That would up the ante to about $850, almost twice what the Track is asking.
