What exactly is a "Sporter Stock" and how does it differ from a regular stock.

Sporter stocks, as for Sporting Clays, are usually very similar to field stock dimensions, but with a slightly longer length of pull because the game is usually shot with the gun pre-mounted.

As I learned in the Army - Go ahead and ask your "dumb question", no doubt at least one other person wants to know as well, Well, I'm that other person since I just got a Citori L13 (Sporter) and was wondering the same thing. Thanks Virginian.
