Sorting Cases before Swaging Primer Pockets

I noticed that some cases seemed to be much harder to swage...some very easy.

Yes, some case heads are thicker than others. I received a call from a builder/reloader that found a special die and wanted me to have it. I asked why he thought it was special; he said it was stamped PP on the top of the die body and he assumed it had to do with some bench rest caliber. As usual everything else was missing. I explained to him the die body was a primer pocket swage die body from RCBS and if I added his die body to my collection I would have 4 of them. I asked him if the cup was with the die body but as usual it never is.

The anvils that push the case down on the swage get bent when the die is not adjusted for different case head thicknesses.
