Greetings,

Does anybody know a source for extra long rifled barrel stock (up to 6 feet) with an OD of 1.25-2.00 inches? It would helpful if the barrels were available with .22 cal, .30 cal, 9 mm and .50 cal bores.

Thanks for your ideas! :)

Barrels don't come from rifled stock. They are made from steel blanks cut down and rifled in house. Most manufacturers I know of can only cut rifling to around 30" + or - a few inches because of the limitations of the rifling machinery

Nope.

6 feet long & small caliber is way longer then just about any barrel makers boring & rifling machinery, or ability.

Barret (Boots) Obermeyer's been making custom barrels for the US military folks for years. His barrels have also been used in competition winning matches and setting records. He's in Bristol, Wisconsin.

Mark Chanlyn (Boulder, CO) trained under him. He's got one of the old Pratt & Whitney riflers made during WWII like Obermeyer and others use to make excellent barrels. He might be able to help. Contact him at 1707-14TH ST. BOULDER, CO 80302 USA. 303-443-9189.

Thanks! I will stop by for a visit. Sounds like he is at Gunsport Colorado (aka Bighorn Trading Co.)
